Jeremy Peckham
Author, technology entrepreneur and leadership mentor.
Jeremy Peckham has spent much of his career in the field of Artificial Intelligence, and latterly, as a businessman and entrepreneur. He worked as a government scientist at the UK Royal Aircraft Establishment and later moved to Logica, an international software and systems integration company. Whilst at Logica he was Project Director of the 5 year, pan European and 20m Euro research project on Speech Understanding and Dialogue (SUNDIAL) that broke new ground in AI.
He founded his first company in 1993 through a management buy-out, based on the AI technology developed at Logica, and launched a successful public offering on the London Stock Exchange in 1996. Jeremy is now a technology entrepreneur, having helped to establish several high-tech companies over the last 25 years, where he has served as founder and interim CEO, Chairman, or non-executive director. He is part of a growing network of Christians in Europe and North America interested in AI and speaks at the Annual European Leadership Forum.
Activities
Commissioner
Jeremy serves as a Commissioner for the AI, Faith and Civil Society Commission that is seeking to ensure that human values are preserved in the design, development and deployment of AI in a way which affirms the dignity of our shared humanity and benefits all people.
RSA Responsible AI Network Steering Committee Member
Steering committee member for the Responsible AI Network (RAIN) of the Royal Society of Arts. RAIN seeks to inform the responsible development, deployment, adoption and governance of AI technologies and research.
Speaking and Teaching

Member of the Editorial Team. The Journal of Ethics in Entrepreneurship and Technology (JEET) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal that publishes works which investigate the underlying principles of entrepreneurship in the digital era with an applied ethical perspective that seeks to answer both the technological challenges and developing world realities.
Year Round Mentoring
Leadership mentoring has been a passion of Jeremy’s for over a decade. He now runs year round mentoring for small groups of leaders with both residential and online workshops. Jeremy also provides ongoing one on one mentoring
European Leadership Forum
The Forum meets annually in Poland drawing over 800 leaders from 40 countries. Jeremy has provided leadership mentoring and run leadership workshops for over 10 years. He has also lectured on Artificial Intelligence ethics from a Christian worldview.
Cambridge Leaders Network
Jeremy has taught and mentored for 10 years on entrepreneurial leadership at the annual residential week long leadership development course.
Africa Rural Trainers
Following a visit to Kenya in 2008 after the post election violence, Jeremy and his wife Jan established Africa Rural Trainers to provide bible teaching and economic development for rural pastors and leaders.
The Fraser Peckham Trust
The Trust was established in 1998 with a gift of shares from Vocalis plc, the company Jeremy founded in 1993. It provides small grants to individuals for post grad study in developing countries and also supports Africa Rural Trainers.
